Job Description

Are you driven by being at the heart of projects, close to clients and their challenges – while also being curious about stepping into leadership? As a team leader with us, you get the best of both worlds: the opportunity to continue contributing your expertise in projects while growing into a role where you lead, coach, and support your team.

Your new position

You will be part of the unit, Structural Engineering South & West SE, which consists of 23 employees distributed across offices in Gothenburg, Kristianstad, Linköping, and Norrköping. You will be responsible for a team in Linköping and Norrköping with 12 employees. Our team is a delightful mix of experienced and less experienced employees. Our team is characterized by a strong 'win together' mentality – we believe that we achieve the best results through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and uplifting each other.

The unit is part of Ramboll's global Service Line, Transformation & Public Buildings, where we drive projects in both new construction and renovation of commercial and public buildings such as offices, housing, schools, kindergartens to university buildings, swimming pools, sports centers, and more. Our organizational structure enables close collaboration across areas of expertise and national borders, allowing us to mobilize the right expertise for each assignment – regardless of where it exists in the organization.

As a Team Leader, in addition to having an active role in our projects, where you contribute your expertise as a project manager in structural engineering, you will engage in issues related to leadership, strategic work, market development, and growth. In the role, you combine focus on people, projects, and business. You create conditions for the team's well-being and development while actively contributing to business development by finding new paths forward, developing our client relationships, and driving projects with both quality and profitability in focus. To succeed in your role, we know it is crucial that you have the right support. In addition to the unit manager, you will also work closely with other team leaders within our service line, who are more than happy to share their experiences so that you can feel secure and confident in your role.

As a Team Leader, your focus will be on:

  • Project work in the project manager role with a focus on management, delegation, delivery quality, and mentorship.
  • Working with bids and market development.
  • Recruitment and development of employees (personnel responsibility).
  • Planning and resourcing projects from the team and the rest of the organization in Sweden and worldwide.
  • Building good relationships with clients and creating new business opportunities as well as internally with colleagues at Ramboll.
  • Leading and developing common strategies for the team, unit, and business area.

You will primarily be based at the office in Linköping, but travel to Norrköping, where a large part of the team is located, is a natural part of the role.

About you

  • Experience and a strong interest in project management within structural engineering, preferably with a focus on commercial/public properties.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on construction technology.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking, with experience in driving profitable projects and developing client relationships.
  • Engagement and drive to achieve progress in projects.
  • Interest in sustainability, digitalization, and innovation.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Interest in employee well-being and development, recruitment, and other leadership-related issues.

What we can offer you

  • Development opportunities where your drives and motivation are guiding.
  • Secure leaders in a values-driven company with employees in focus.
  • An inclusive work environment where different experiences and perspectives are valued.
  • An international knowledge environment with experiences from 35 countries.
  • Long-term goals in a foundation-owned company that invests in its employees as well as in research and humanitarian efforts around the world.
  • Flexible work environment so you can shape your workday to make life around you work as well.
  • Private health insurance and life insurance.
  • Wellness allowance of up to 4000 SEK/year.
  • Technically challenging projects where you contribute to real change at both local and national levels.
